Lend your voice to Nepali healthcare

In Nepali clinics, people speak Nepali mixed with English medical words: “मलाई paracetamol दिनुस्”. Speech recognition built elsewhere struggles with that. By reading a few of these sentences aloud, you help Vectrah understand the way Nepali doctors and patients actually talk.

  1. 1

    Read a short sentence aloud

Each one is something a doctor, patient or receptionist might say in a Nepali clinic. They take about five seconds.

  2. 2

    Listen back, then submit

Re-record as often as you like. Skip any sentence you’d rather not read. Stop whenever you want.

  3. 3

    Our team reviews every clip

Each recording is checked by a person against its script before it is used to train Vectrah’s speech recognition.

Before you start

  • Find a quiet place and hold your phone or sit close to your computer’s microphone.
  • You can record up to 10 sentences an hour. Come back any time to record more.
  • Read the words exactly as written, at a normal pace, in your own natural accent. English words are read the way you’d say them in a clinic.
  • Your recordings are stored privately and used only to build and test Vectrah’s speech recognition. We never publish or share your email.
  • To have your recordings deleted, email admin@vectrah.com from the address you enter below.
